Crazy things happened this week. well... actually not really, but it was a fun week. I went on exchanges to Kiryu. That was pretty fun because there were two 2nd transfers over an area for a day. So neither one of us spoke japanese. The people we tried to talk to were really nice and patient with us though, so that was fun. I also learned a little Chinese this week from the Bai Family (from china) I now know how to introduce myself and say "good boy" haha kind of random, but fun. We also learned how to make Lo Bing (sp). Anyway, that was some random stuff i did this week.
Now for the big news! So there was this lady that we met at the eki last transfer. Her name is Yoshie Sudou San. When we met her, she said that she used to meet with the missionaries last year. She came to eikaiwa a couple of times, but we weren't able to teach her because she doesn't have a phone and the address she gave us doesn't seem to exist. So for two months we have been wanting to start teaching her again but we haven't been able to find her. Well... This week, she came to eikaiwa. YAY! So, after eikaiwa, we decided to walk her home so we could find out where she lived. (i know... we are creepers) As we were walking, she said she was heading to work. (there went our chance to find where she lives). Her work was to far for us to walk there and back to apartment in time for curfew. So as we walked half way with her instead. While we walked, we talked to her about church and baptism (side note: she had a baptism date set with the previous sister missionaries but it fell through) then set up an appointment for the next day to meet with her. So, the next day we met her at the church and had our first lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the end of the lesson we asked if she would still like to be baptized and... SHE SAID YES!! My very first baptism date. I am pretty excited for her. As of now, it is set for OCT. 13. But here, that is conference, so it might be moved to OCT 20. My favorite apartment is, we saw her at the eki the next day when we were handing our eikaiwa fliers with miwako. While she was talking with miwako, she was telling her how excited she was for her baptism. It makes me so happy to see someone excited to come closer to there Heavenly Father. I am looking forward to teaching her more.
Now, there is more to the story. She has been to church before but always wears pants. (she actually wears the same things everyday) While we were teaching her, she asked why everyone dresses up for church. We explained to her Sunday best and asked if she by chance had a skirt. She said no and she said she will try and buy one some day. I told her that i had an extra skirt that i don't wear and even a shirt she could have. So on Sunday, we brought her a skirt and a shirt for her. She was pretty excited. The skirt was a bite big, but we pinned it so it would fit her. She seemed pretty excited. haha
Anyway, that was a long story. I hope it all makes sense. haha Yesterday, we attended a garden Party Diane was putting on in the "garden" area we helped clean up. The apartment complex it was at is an international apartment where there are alot of gaijin (foreigners) And there were ALOT. I met people from Whales, Philippines, France, Korea, japan, Australia, and america (north and south Carolina, Kansas, and Ohio) Everyone was so nice and it was fun meeting them. we talked to the people from america alot and they asked us a lot of questions about the church and had real interested in their questions. So that was fun.
This week we also ate at a lot of members houses. It was way fun getting to know the members more. They feed us a little too much though. Mom, you would be proud that i eat it even when i don't like it. It is very hard though... Sometimes halversen Shimai takes some from my plant when no one is looking. Such a nice companion. One family made me try Nato too. YUCK! Never again! Just Google Nato and you will see what i mean. It is pretty nasty. Nato is fermented Soy Beans. That right there sounds nasty. They were excited to be apart of my first time trying it. I have a video i will try and send. It might be next week though.
Anyway... That was my week. This week we have a lot of things planned so it will be a busy one. And today we are going with miwako shimai up in the mountains. I am way excited. I get to wear pants again!!

p.s. the weather is changing and it is getting a little colder. I am pretty excited for the fall. Probably my favorite season. I hear it is really pretty in the fall, so i look forward to finding out for myself.
