Happy Mothers Day

It was so good seeing everyone! Mom happy Mother's Day!! I hope you
had a wonderful day. I love you!

I am just going to tell you again what happened this week. I
Hello Budge Kaicho!

Kisekis!!! We saw so many miracles. Ten people came to church. The ten
people included a family of five with young kids, a mother and son
with his friend, Akane (18), and Irita San an older woman that Clark
Shimai and snow Shimai taught. It was such a great experience have so
many come to church. Not all of them were there for sacrament, but
they came and participated in the classes. The ward was so happy to
see so many people come to church.

The biggest miracle out of all of this is that we were not expecting
Irita San to come, but she showed up! We were planning on visiting her
on Saturday but she called and said that she wouldn't be able to meet.
We asked if she could come to church, and she said she wouldn't be
able to make that either. So yesterday, we biked to her house and
delivered a Mother's Day card and in the card invited her to church
one more time. Well, this morning we were at the church earlier than
usual for DCS (usually we have DCS on Saturday nights) while we were
all at the church the elders walk in with Irita San. It was such a
surprise!! She said she found the card in the mailbox this morning and
decided to come to church. We were so happy to see her there!! She
stayed for all three hours of church with church members helping her
along the way. She says she doesn't remember things very well, but she
tried so hard and was even taking notes so she could remember. It was
so cute!! It was such a great experience seeing so many people at the
church.

This experience today really strengthen my testimony about prayer and
faith. This week was kind of hard because it seemed like our
investigators didn't want to meet with us, we didn't have very many
opportunities to teach lessons, and it has been hard finding people.
But, I continued to pray that we would see people at church. This
morning, brown Shimai asked me how many people I thought would be
coming to church for the area. We knew for sure that Akane would
becoming, so that is one. I turned to brown Shimai, and said "eight."
Instead, ten people came!! Not all of them were baptism age, but
still.

One other crazy thing that happened this week happened while we were
visiting less actives. We biked to a place called Ojiya and Kawaguchi
(about 20km from our apartment). It as a great experience one of them
wasn't home so we just left her a card, but the other one was. We were
able to talk to her a little bite before she had to go to work, and we
even met her grandma. It was super nice. Well, on the bike ride, while
we heading out on our long trip earlier in the day (12ish), we say a
nice lady working in her garden and we said hello as we biked by. I
thought about stopping to talk for a bit, but we only had so much time
to make it to the less actives and back. On our bike ride back
(4:30ish) we saw her in the garden again and we said hello again.
Then, she called out and asked where we were going and where we had
just come from. She was so surprised how far we had biked.... IN
SKIRTS. We were able to talk to her a little bit and explain that we
visited friends that are members of our church. She was super sweet
and even gave us some asparagus from her garden. She told us the
little amount of knowledge she has about churches. We didn't talk for
long, but she said if we are ever in the area, then we were welcome to
stop by and visit. It was a great miracle, especially after such a
long bike ride.

Those are the miracles from this week. It was fun being apart of it.
It was fun to talk to everyone and see you all. it was hard to say
goodbye, but all is well. I will see you in December. Thank you for
