Just A Quick Update

Just thought I would share a few things that happened this week. Another transfer in Takasaki and we are already seeing miracles.

So, Saito San, our referral from Mormon.org,is doing really well.  He has such a strong desire to learn.  He might have a disability of some sort so it is a bit hard for him to understand things, but he is trying so hard.  I love it.  He loves to sing the hymns,  We heard from Suzuki Shimai (she is usually our member present), that he REALLY wants to become a member.  I'm ok with that.  :) the hardest thing is that he has work on Sundays that he can't get off.  But, we will figure something out.  We hope to set a baptism date for him this week.  We are actually meeting him on Karina's birthday.

We just got back from a lesson with Shiode, a former investigator we found through areabook dendo. I think it went pretty well.  He has been to temple square and really enjoyed it. We plan on meeting with him again next monday. Before we came back to finish emails, we spent time with suzuki shimai and shopped a little then went to lunch.  I bought a new carry on bag.  One with wheels, it is much more convenient.  Plus, another pair of boots for only 1500 円 or $15.00 in american money.  DEAL!

We were housing a near by apartment building and housed into a ward member that we didn't know lived there.  While we were talking to her, her neighbor opened her door and said "Hello sister Missionaries! I probably won't see you on Christmas, so Merry Christmas!" We said Thank you, then she shut the door.  The members neighbor was a less active that we didn't have an address for.  So we got lucky! After, talking with the member, we went next door and visited Usuda Shimai, the less active.  She is sick and can't really leave the house, that is while she doesn't come to church.  Well, while we were visiting her, she called for her in home care helper lady to bring drinks.  The lady came out of another room and it was someone we see all the time on our bikes while biking around Takasaki.  We just exchange hellos when passing but have never had the chance to talk with each other.  She was excited to see us as well.  We visited with the two nice ladies, shared a message and invited them to the Christmas Party.  I look forward to seeing them there.
